Here is a simple Winter tale / reading and writing activity. Children can read the text and fill in the missing words. The answers are given in red on the next slide and the pictures around the colour border help children with the words they need. There is a blank border page where children can make up their own Winter tale and use the pictures to help them. Alternatively, they can draw a picture of the Winter tale or a Winter picture of their own. There are also colour flashcards without words and colour flashcards with words that can assist children with their reading and writing.

A lovely activity for OUTDOOR or indoor learning about nature / plants/ change/animals/mini beasts. Children can cut, and match the pictures to the correct numbers. They could go on a hunt to see how many of the things can they see outdoors. Cut and laminate the pictures for reusable activities.
